Which card does Utoppia provide?

Utoppia provides virtual prepaid cards, provided through Payblr Inc. or any applicable card issuer.

How do prepaid cards work?

How do prepaid cards work? To make purchases, you do not need to preload funds onto your card. Instead, when a card transaction is authorized, the required funds are made available in real time from your Connected Balance to complete the purchase. You will be able to make purchases in your local currency at a competitive foreign exchange rate. Please refer to the Terms of Service and disclosures for additional information regarding the safeguarding and insurance status of your funds.

Who is our card issuer?

Our card issuer is Payblr, a payment facilitator located in Puerto Rico for the Latin American market, which will allow you to access a VISA prepaid card. With this card, you will be able to make purchases through all the networks and payment methods enabled by VISA.

What are the benefits of using a prepaid card?

You don't need to load your card. Whenever a transaction is authorized, the required funds are transferred or made available in real time from your Connected Balance to cover the purchase amount.

Where is my prepaid card issued?

The prepaid card is issued in Puerto Rico.

Which countries are enabled to have access to the card?

The enabled countries are Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Ecuador.

Are there any fees or maintenance costs?

Having a prepaid card does not incur maintenance fees. Fees associated with your Utoppia card: fee for USD purchases: free; fee for non-USD purchases: 2.99%. For more information on account fees, please visit the Pricing page.

How does the freeze feature work?

The freeze feature allows you to lock your card instantly. While frozen, the card cannot be used for any purchases. When you unfreeze it, the card is reactivated, and you can use it again immediately. This feature is particularly useful for preventing unauthorized transactions.

Google Pay & Apple Pay

Good news! You can now add your Utoppia Card to Google Pay and Apple Pay. You can also use your card with wallets like Mercado Pago, Rappi, and Pedidos Ya.

How do I manually add my Utoppia Card to Google Pay?

Follow these steps to add your card manually:

  1. Open the Google Wallet app on your phone.

  2. At the bottom, tap “Add to Wallet.”

  3. Tap “Payment card.” Any cards already saved to your Google Account will be displayed.

  4. Tap “Add new credit or debit card.”


    • Choose “Enter details manually” or use the camera to scan your card.

  5. Tap “Save and continue.”

  6. Review the Issuing Entity Terms and tap “Accept.”

  7. If prompted, choose a verification method (such as SMS or email) and complete the process.

Once verified, your Utoppia Card will be ready to use with Google Pay. 🚀

‍Digital Asset & Stablecoin Services. Digital asset, cryptoasset, stablecoin payouts and auto-conversion services are provided by BVNK. ONED stablecoin smart contract infrastructure is deployed, maintained, and operated by Coinbase, Inc. (“Coinbase”). Coinbase is solely responsible for the minting and redemption of ONED, the custody and management of all reserves backing ONED, and the operation of the platforms on which ONED may be transacted. Any services relating to cryptoassets, digital assets, stablecoins, investment accounts, bill payments, prepaid cards, loyalty and/or rewards programs (collectively, “Non-Deposit Services”) are NOT provided by Lead Bank. Non-Deposit Services are not bank deposits, are not FDIC insured, are not insured by any federal government agency, are not bank guaranteed, and may lose value, including all of your investment.
