What are Utoppian to Utoppian (P2P) transfers?

P2P transfers allow you to send money instantly and for free to other Utoppia users. It's the fastest and most economical way to transfer funds between Utoppia accounts.

How does the P2P transfer system work?

It's very simple: when you select "Send" on the home screen, you have two options: "Utoppian to Utoppian" or "Inside the USA". Transfers between Utoppians are processed instantly at no cost.

How do I start a P2P transfer?
  1. Go to the app home and select "Send"
  2. Choose the "Utoppian to Utoppian" option
  3. Search for the recipient using their email or phone number
  4. Enter the amount and confirm the transfer.
How can other Utoppia users find me?

You can configure how you want to be found by other Utoppians in the "Utoppian Contacts" section within your Profile. You have two options:

  • By email address
  • By phone number.
How do I search for another Utoppian using their email?
  • Make sure to enter the exact same email the other person used to register in Utoppia.
  • The other person must have enabled the option to be found by email in their Profile, under "Utoppian Contacts".
How do I search for another Utoppian using their phone number?
  • Enter the same phone number the other person used to register in Utoppia
  • The other Utoppian must have enabled the option to be found by phone number in "Utoppian Contacts".
Can I sync my phone contacts?

Yes, you can search for other Utoppians by syncing your phone contacts to see who else uses Utoppia.

Why can't I find a user?

If you can't find another user, it may be because:

  • The email or phone number entered doesn't match the one registered in Utoppia
  • The other person hasn't enabled the option to be found by email or phone
  • The person doesn't have a Utoppia account yet.
How long does a P2P transfer take?

Transfers between Utoppians are instant. The money reaches the recipient immediately after confirming the transaction.

How much does it cost to send money to another Utoppian?

P2P transfers are completely free. We don't charge any fees for sending or receiving money between Utoppia users.

Are there monthly limits for P2P transfers?

Yes, for your security, we limit the total amount you can send or receive via P2P transfers each month.

Total Amount in USD (both incoming and outgoing) $3,000 per month.

Total Amount in quantity 6 transactions per month.

What happens if I reach my monthly limit?

If you reach your monthly transaction limit, you'll see the following message: "For your security, we limit the total amount you can send or receive via P2P transfers each month. You've reached your monthly transaction amount limit." In this case, you can choose to make a traditional ACH transfer (which takes 3-5 business days) or a Same Day ACH transfer (which completes in less than 24 hours) to continue sending money.

How do I configure my privacy for P2P transfers?

Go to your Profile and look for the "Utoppian Contacts" section. There you can choose:

  • Allow others to find me by email
  • Allow others to find me by phone number
  • Both options
  • Neither option (others won't be able to find you).
Can I change my privacy settings at any time?

Yes, you can modify your privacy settings whenever you want from your Profile in "Utoppian Contacts".

What do I do if I have problems with a P2P transfer?
